Andreas Strohfeldt is a German filmmaker who was born in East Germany and now lives in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district. He's openly gay and has made several films that discuss LGBTQ+ issues. His most notable work is the documentary, ‘Out ‘in East Berlin, which tells the story of LGBTQ+ people in East Germany. Strohfeldt also directed the short film, ‘MaPa’. In this film, a transgender woman tells her life from living as a man to a woman. His latest film is “Color of Dance,” a documentary that follows a young Indian dancer from his country to Germany, where he dances, teaches, and experiences a new culture.
